    One minute Piracy has pushed the music industry to the edge of the cliff now there saying it's made no real difference.
    A lot of the music out there is so crap I don't even download it lol. The MOS albums are a flood of similar sounding music but it seems smaller companies are flourishing and this seems to bring new talent without the price tag.

    I'm not so sure about this. The music today is noise. Period. All the good stuff from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, is dead.

    Notice that by around 2003, the online music phenomenon was full swing... At the same time, there was a sharp decline in the quality of music.

    Now in 2011, 99% of it is crap. Not even worth downloading illegally.

    I'd say artists don't have any reason to make good music anymore because they figure that most of the profits will go down the toilet cause of the internet.
