Thread: Best Network?

  1. #1
What is the best network in your opinion?
Could you please list them in order from Favourite, to least favourite. Eg.

    Ares
    Gnutella
    Fasttrack
    etc...

    Thanks.

On a given day or given circumstance, you think you have a limit.
And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit and you think "Ok, this is the limit".
As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further.

    BitTorrent & mIRC, IMO.
I wasn't going to buy it in the first place, so me downloading it for free isn't losing them any money.

As far as networks go, on the technical side goes

    the G2 network, ( shareaza + a few others )
is far the best for pure bandwidth as the it only take half of the current overhead to move traffic, thus more bandwidth for you

Shareaza as allows uploading of partial downloads without the user being able to stop it , thus no leeching

arez/warez p2p , does the same thing and allows uploading of partial downloads, thus more sharing of a particular file

the rest are on the same par and are riddled with leechers and queue jumpers

mirc is great , but it would be nice if more ppl shared their stuff on mirc and didnt just leech

im using Ares right now and its fair good, it would be bnetter if there are more users...Even though the community is growing bigger everyday, so in future it could be the next best thing.

Soulseek i dislike because of no Multi source downloading.
And emule, pfft. In my opinion that p2p is pathetic.

Gnutella. I have yet to find a decent interface for that network. When i do, i will probably shift over.

seriously, whats wrong with Ares? its great!

eMule/e2Donkey network are the best around .I get all my movies with eMule. The content of e2Donkey network is still the best for now.As for Bittorent i don't use it anymore , first because after each downloaded file my hard disk is very fragmented and that sucks, second because Bittorent is full with leechers. My speeds for eMule never dropped under 50kb/s .For music, Blubster ( MP2P) is the best , no fakes, and the speeds are the same like with the old Kazaa Lite .
