These bans were stored in M$ database. Even if the table that the data was stored in got deleted, you guys really think that M$ didnt have a database backup?

Its just a matter of restoring a backup and the bans are back. Dont get your hopes up.

I read a rumor that there is an update coming that resets your firmware back to factory default. Anyone know anything about this?

Yes it's the beta dash...it will flash it back to stock to read the new disc format
