I wish I was in the mood to install and test it, but my time with beta and alpha versions is long gone.

If its more like 7 than XP, I don't want it anyway beta or not. MS should get a head up their butt award for pushing a beloved OS aside and building crap from crap (vista = sucky and Win7 = somewhat less sucky) I suspect Win8 will be no exception to the "sucky is good" rule.
