so i wouldn&#39;t worry, and i&#39;d never rush into a format and re-install. a lot of people have itchy trigger fingers these days and make rash decisions.

i hope this doesn&#39;t catch on, because although this one time was pretty funny, i&#39;d hate to start opening posts and people have added a different sound file to each one.

Isn&#39;t there some way for the board to be setup to block that type of post?

i hope so, because you can&#39;t stop it easily once the file has started to download. people will end up putting the sounds in thier sigs or something. If there was such an uproar about avatars and sigs exceeding 100KB for the benefit or 56k&#39;ers especially, then steps should be taken to avoid this as well.

I think you can turn off embedded sounds via Internet Options in IE, but i don&#39;t think people should have to resort to doing that.

just for example - that south park clip is something in the region of 643KB.

Anyways, yes - i agree with the_faceman, although i didnt actually say you should do it and i did say that i had no idea - so i hope i covered myself in the cowardly way i do these days

Hopefully its just what the_faceman suggests it could be.
