"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music"
with how sales were horrible @ birth and with recent psn downtime this surely won't do good.
Can't wait to see what price point the PS4 is going to launch at. I wouldn't be surprised at around the $800 mark.
Funkin', if I remember correctly the PS3 was around 1k at launch.
Well, this article http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2...m-hardware.ars says that
"The real news is that Sony may be focusing on using less-expensive components that can be ordered in larger quantities at a lower price. When you're trying to launch a system with as much new tech as the PlayStation 3, you're spending a lot of money on components, and you may be suffering from low yields as the high-end components are mass produced.
By using mature, off-the-shelf parts, Sony could cut costs and lower the price of the system, moves that would likely have little impact on the system's performance."
"focusing on using less-expensive components"
MS did that when they launched the 360 and that went well for them....![]()
Skimp on hardware and you're fucked. The PS3 was the perfect BD player for most.
Impact little on the system's performance? Who's perspective is this from? An average console gamer or a PC gamer?
i think they will come up with a game changer console, just because of how the things are going for them right now. they have to get their customers back with something sweet
btw ... i own 2 PS3s a 360 and a Wii and PS3 owns the other 2
But some lame ass hacker will come along and ruin the fun for everyone again.....
