Yes I'd agree, Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is the best I have used.
I hear a friend of mine talking about something called Fruitie Loops too, haven't tried it out myself yet.
The New Moral
I use Fruity Loops. It's not bad but I like to improvise a lot and I don't have a midi keyboard so it's a little more difficult. But otherwise not bad.
The color of this signature is really blue. If you see otherwise, please adjust your monitor settings.
Fruity Loops is the best one out there for getting music from your mind onto pc. But if you want depth get Reason and Cubase.
