Please could someone explain to me the point of opening invites someplace for a few hours taking into account that during that time a good portion of the World is probably asleep?

UK-Two was threatening to take over that level 10 spot, so they had to keep their name in the news somehow. You don't really think the point was to add some much needed quality new members, do you?

I love you but in a totally ghey way.

Btw could some please explain to me how the quality of a person is determined on the internet so I can take summer courses if necessary to try and come up to the required standard.
So far near as I can determine it quality seems to revolve around a fast internet connection, a general sleaziness, a lack of a perceptible sense of humour and an inability to speak English.

We wanted to give Americans a chance to invite this time so that's why invites were open at such a late time for Europeans.

Anyway, OP, here's what you should do: register at forum.utorrent.com and send a p/m to Firon. Not only is he an admin at forum.utorrent.com, but he's also an hdbits admin. Tell him something like this, "hdbit.org/rules.php can be read by non-members. So I know that the minimum ratio requirement at hdbits is 0.45 . I'll keep at least the minimum ratio and will be an active user if you invite me to hdbits. Thank you in advance for reading this p/m and inviting me." If you get no response from him, send exactly the same message to other hdbits admins/mods whose usernames you can easily find out.
