    2.0.4 is the most compatible version, not sure if halite is allowed on those torrent sites but definitely worth a look, i was thinking just getting more accustomed to using rtorrent at home. a lot of the additional features can probably be turned off in 3.0 im not too keen on updating to check it out though.

    If you're on Windows then I second anon's suggestion. Few years ago when I was using Windows I switched from uTorrent to Halite and liked it just fine. Lightweight and fast. Really dug it. Besides that Deluge you should probably look into as well. I don't know how good it is on Windows, but on Linux it's an excellent client.
