    another issue i noticed with windows 7 is that my pc doesn't overheat that much .

    with xp without a cooling base my notebook would shutdown when playing games or watching hd movies

    with 7 x64 this doesn't happen , maybe is a video card drive issue with windows xp that causes this

    windows XP x64 has numerous compatibility problems, anyway it's 2011, all games are designed for Winows 7 and even the <2000 games work on windows 7 x64, with more or less tweaking.

    Windows 7 has excellent power and cooling management when compared to XP. It's one of the things it was praised for.
