    Apparently, it's r2008. At least that's what I found here.

    Last time I looked, codecs helped with unknown file types.....

    Unless you use a REAL application like XBMC

    ffdshow-tryouts and CoreAVC let me play just about any video file.

    On a sidenote, I ironically cannot bring myself to make the latter work on my desktop PC (which has a GeForce 6200 card), while it will do its job perfectly on my netbook and its lowly integrated chipset borrowing from RAM.

    still zero reason (for me) to install them. why not just run MCPHC or VLC? plays all without the need to install needless codecs.

    I use MPC-HC, but it is still unable to play a video file is there's no codec for it.
