Haven't seen the original but apparently it's good (actually scary).

To be honest, anyone who lives in South Australia is pretty scary.

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music"
The original carved out its own little place in slasher movie history by being a cut above the usual.
The sequel like most will probably be bloody awful because you've already told the story so there is really nothing left but to kill a few more people in different ways. Hardly original or compelling stuff.

Meh, the Saw franchise still managed to successfully rake in doe for 7 instalments, including one prequel somewhere in the middle.
I don't think there are enough Australians, who want to see how a movie set in their own country turns out, to actually keep this profitable. Hopefully there's no American writers who want to milk stereotypes like they did in Kangaroo Jack.

Or those Paul Hogan ones.
Btw is it true that Australians hate Paul Hogan like the rest of us?

At least there was two good things about the original Kangaroo Jack

Ehh they began to feel sorry for how the ATO raped him.
Anthony Anderson's are probably more authentically Australian. On attractive females here are immigrants.

He also owes me the price of my tickets back for Almost an Angel.
Vague Jerry O'Connell tie in.
Even if they show a test pattern accompanied by someone scratching a blackboard with their nails 24/7 Australian TV still has to be better than Canadian TV.

Ha, you found it.
We have the real shit right here; Mcleod's Daughters, Neighbours, Home And Away, All Saints, Big Brother AU (Haven't seen a series on TV since the Turkey Slap incident). So apart from Soaps what else do we have? Sitcoms and game shows.
