Guess it's no surprise is it? Lots of nerdy, under achieving, patriotic yankies out there .

Spiderman 3 did $150,000,00 and it was shite.Hulk did $62,000,000 and it was utter shite.Even Green Lantern a character that nobody cares about in a movie that nobody wanted to see did $55,000,000.
I think if they dressed up a Pomeranian in a tutu and called it a superhero it would have a $50 million dollar opening. A $50 million dollar opening and a 70% reduction in ticket sales for the second week just like all the other 3rd rate inanities they foist on an obviously undiscerning target audience.

The good news is that wait a couple of months and hotshot will be able to steal it in glorious HD.

I actually watched the movie last night. It started off fairly strongly creating a genuinely likable character in the personae of puny Steve Rodgers but unsurprisingly loses most of the built up empathy the minute he is transformed into Captain America.
From that point on very little to the good happens, most surprisingly very little actual action and the movie genuinely start to stink someplace around a third of the way in. There is a bit of a bittersweet romantic "what might have been" near the end that I liked but basically it served to illustrate how horribly lacking in true emotion the rest of the mess was.

Other that I liked the lead actress' boobs and Tony Stark's father ,hated the silly sci-fi weapons , Captain's commando's and the insistence of Marvel to put Nick Fury in every movie so as to promote the upcoming Avengers which I pray is a whole lot better than this waste of time was .

All in all I would has been better served if I had stopped watching after the first twenty minutes and Googled Haley Atwell's breasts.

Hi. Thanks for letting me know. From your replies I think I will go and watch this movie. I was looking forward to Green Lantern. But from the reviews I decided not to go to the theaters for it.

I ended up seeing both Green Lantern and Captain America when they came out, mostly because there wasn't really anything else playing at the time. Summers been pretty lame in terms of the box office.

^^^ Reason why I'm learning more towards TV shows for entertainment. You don't expect much and if it's a shit episode you only wasted 30 minutes.
