I think taking down FB would piss off more of the general public than it would do damage to the site. Lots of people enjoy using the site, and this would backfire on Anonymous, making them look like assholes. They need to stick to companies like Sony who have trampled on their customers.
I thought the whole point of Anonymous was that the members were independent of any ruling body. Kinda defeats the purpose when the "leadership" can say "those guys aren't Anonymous" and "Anonymous is everywhere" at the same time. Maybe I just don't understand hacker culture.
