Their "danger" (to the establishment) isn't in the individual acts they pull off. It's in the publicity they generate and the precedent they set--that individuals can impact goverments and large corporations. It's about feelings of empowerment that encourages young people to get involved and that sort of thing snowball. It's all part of a trend along with the Occupy movement, and the increasing electoral successes of the Pirate Party.
