ARM's architecture and capabilities are fantastic. ARM was capable of emulating (mind you! not direct to metal playing!) PS1 games back in 2003. I'm sure 1% of people will care about the significance of that number, but the latest ARM processors can even virtualize/implement chroot in such a way to run the latest Ubuntu distributions. ARM is becoming desktop-level power faster and faster. The only problem is that Intel has a lot more to come in the future that ARM can't keep up with. 3-sided transistors, for one.
