Pc To Tv

Problem
I use laptop connected to TV to watch avi and mpg movies d/l from kazaa without making vcd or svcd (too much time consuming). Some videos I can watch without any problem, but for others the sound is trasfering to TV and video is not. I figured out, that it depends on the video codec, but I have no clue how to deal with this problem.
System
Dell Inspiron 7500 (~700 Kz) 128 Ram 8X DVD ROM and some Intel graphic card.
I have used kl codec pack 2.10 full - all problem exist, before used 2.04 or 2.05 kl codec pack with less problems. If no any suggestions appear, I would have to downgrade to older codec packs (from 2.10) to make things work at least somehow.

cannot, cause I have to upgrade Direct X controls, but my girlfriend uses laptop for heavy programming and her tools might crash.
I use media player classic or videolan

update
downgraded from kl codec pack 2.10 to 2.04. Half of the problems are gone. Keep checking other movies.
Still, what is the hell wrong with 2.10, why it is not properly working (in my laptop)?
anybody knows something?
Any suggestions?!?
