After digging on SCC i found out that since 2011-08-15 a new CRF encode method was voted as a new standard by the scene release groups. Here is a link to the new rules:

I hope the next releases from TLA or Immerse aren't as bad as "the mentalist s04e02"..............

guys pay attention, coldlunge says stick with the scene encodes, there's some grain in it for you in case you're family is poor and can't afford other sustenance.

Thanks for the info folks! It's crazy to think so much effort is made by the groups to standardise the releases yet no-one seems to be looking at the finished product!
