Why anyone would need an i7 processor is beyond me.
Marketing and tiering shite by Intel is why anyone buys that crap. I think of all the people I met, less than 2 people out of hundreds who I know bought an i7 processor actually use them for what they are architecturally and feature-wise equipped for.
An i7 is a good processor, but if you can find me something you do regularly an i5-2500k can't do equally as well as the best i7 processor out there, I'll be mighty impressed. I think people get carried away with clock speed and core temperatures and oft forget that optimization has as much to do with usability as hardware. A lot of software has a limitation based upon how it's coded, and a lot of processors (especially i7's) just cater to specific needs like rendering and modelling.
Unless you plan to actually graduate from University, Oleg, stick to i5.
