Yeah. Laws have them shut down, already, like. The sooner the better.

Or did you want them to stay up just a little longer...

The implication being that laws work more slowly. Also, your stated location is in the region where child sex trafficking is prevalent. So your stated opinion would make it seem you are sympathetic to keeping those sites up a bit longer.

The law is slow cos it's assure justice is served. Everyone is assume innocent until proven guilty and it's take time to do it. If I suspected you are pedo should I just shoot your head off since the laws so slow to take action? If Anonymous really want do justice they should just expose the pedo and let's the law take it's course. Attacking those website serve no purpose.

The "group" recieved a gargantuan amount of world media attention previously. It really put the group in a very precarious position and most certainly was seen in the most negative light possible to the general population. It's nice to see the group doing something that is really so damn heroic that it really cannot be seen in a negative light. What they did scared people and I dont really see how it was justified, but now, good on them. I hope the "group" continues to orient it's motives in this direction. When I think of anonymous I always think of the rebels in Starwars, but now with this move I feel they are actually "fighting" for something which is justified. And regarding laws to take care of it, There are laws against drugs in most countries around the world. Yet there are still thousands of people who die from drug overdoses every year. Laws are to keep the general population unaware and keep the peace, but people who are dedicated enough will always find ways to bring drugs into a country, much like how people are dedicated enough will always find ways to get ahold of drugs. I'm sure this same analogy applies to child porn and other despicable things like gore, and other disgusting fetishes. If governments could do something about child porn legally they would have a long time ago. Groups like anonymous can and i'm glad they are doing something about it.

Strange when I think of Anonymous I think of that movie Defendor but in place of Woody Harrelson there are instead a bunch idle self involved fame whore children and unloved fat guys living in their parents basements.
Also please refrain from using the term "heroic" in the context you did because all the soldiers, police and firemen who daily put their lives on the line in the service of humanity want you to know that was both disrespectful and a whole lot of stupid.

You dont have to die for your country to be heroic; Nor do you have to put your life on the line on a daily basis. Child porn is filth, just like killing terrorists these people are cleaning up this filth one fileserver at a time. Good on them. Some of them will go to jail for years or perhaps lose computer access for the rest of their life. That's a pretty big sacrifice for a "fat nerd living in his parents basement".

They'll probably end up taking their own lives as a result.

Yeah regular Alvin Yorks they are.
Anyway to the point ,a hero is someone who regardless of deed never does something expressly for the glory ,which Anonymouse or not that is clearly the raison d'etre of this group.
The shift from pure cyber terrorism to something more outwardly palatable is public relations ,not "heroism".
