Anyway from what I've read and at least in his own mind( see above) he doesn't want to taint the memory of one of his career highlights.

granted I haven't seen it in a number of years but i don't remember it being that bad- though i'll admit i can't recall joey being in the movie which may mean if i was to watch it again i may come to the same conclusion as you. But i do remember it being watchable, compared to a certain RHr3 movie which almost ruined the franchise for me

That would make perfect sense except for the fact RHr1 being the pinnacle of cinema that it was it didn't leave a whole lot of room to plummet.

At least RHr2 had that Asian chick in it who also vaguely boyish is still hawt.

I wouldn't even bother with watching it (any new standup). I've only enjoyed the first 3 stages of Murphy, comedian, SNL cast member, and early movie star. Everything after that has been incredibly annoying (starting about mid 90's, only exception being Life).

That one being a top classic, "The Palm wasn't taking reservations". They have done so many great commercials, I'm pretty sure the rest of this thread could be filled with them. OK, so I spent 20 minutes trying to find a legit video of "Buckwheat sings the Hits" without luck. So, fuck NBC, fuck their copyright activism, and resultingly fuck SNL. Fuck Murphy by previous association, fuck these selective releases on video sites, fuck it all.
