Thread: Those Damn Pop-ups

1. #1
Ok... It prompts me to accept if I want to install XXX toolbar. I press no and it pops up saying "YOU MUST PRESS YES IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD!" Then it repeats.

I HATE THIS! Any way to BLOCK it?

i just have NIS and i ralery see pop ups and Norton sends updates with new links of popups for it to block. So im very happy with your problem in general, i don't think there is a way around it.

I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave.
I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down.

What I do with those types of popup's is to use the tab key to make sure the "No" button is highlighted on the install option and at the same time make sure my mouse pointer is over the "X" button on the IE window causing the popup, then I quickly press "Enter" followed by a left click of the mouse button to close the IE window. It doesn't alway's work first time but after 1 or 2 attempt's I usually get it closed.

Doesn't help though if you actually want to see what's on the page, but I feel that if i'm forced to install shit like that just to view the page it's not worth looking at lol
