Backlash. Are you using verizon DSL? I heard Verizon is giving free upgrades to Fiber.

Their packages are amazing. 15/2 for 45-50 a month. 5/2 for 30 a month I think. Its a sweet deal.

I have Verizon FIOS DSL (5down/2 up at $29.99mo.). I had Optimum Online,
which capped uploads to 95KB/S and NEVER gave more than 3Mb/S down.
If you download Torrents and use Bit Tornado, with Verizon DSL you get
download speeds you wont believe because you can upload at high speeds
without chocking. Even using proxy software to hide your IP you get downloads up to 300KB/S. And, I check speeds with US govt web site
http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/ The DSL speeds never change (unlike
cable). If the fiber optic DSL is available, grab it.

nope. Optimum Online. They really are the best, imo. I know people who have verizon dsl and will be going back to cable b/c it's more reliable and fast. No complaints here at all. newsgroups speeds are excellent, too!
