With respect to encodes of the latest film, there are countless sources, whether its from one of the internal groups at HDBits or another quality-focused p2p group.
Where usenet can completely replace torrents as a replacement for HDBits is in the categories of full bluray discs and high quality tv captures and/or web-dl's.

I think it will take much more time , to download stuff you don't need in order to get 75000 bonus to download the hd movie , than to wait for it to get on usenet

I hardly consider the cost of Usenet once compared to the silly BS of torrent sites. $8-$11 a month is nothing, a Netflix subscription cost more than that. Most of my lunches cost more than that.

If there are people who are not good at collecting bonus points, but can upload things or always maintain good ratios, you might wanna try PMing a staff member, i heard that it sometimes works, but you never know ...

If I'm correct you don't have to wait and can download any other HD files except internal encodes and Bluray for any users.
To collect the bonus points, it depends how often you download and it shouldn't take long if you're active. You can also get points by starting a topic, receiving thanks, poll voting, making a post, game activities, uploading, as a gift from other members, etc.
Pitch7 is correct that you can PM Staff to get promoted if you're active and keep good ratios before hitting the 75000 mark. That was how I got promoted in no time.
