Here's what I think... you're the only one really sensitive around here about how you are perceived by others. The byproduct of that is your incessant defensive rants and repetition of the same drivel. For the very same archetype you represent, posting a pic of yourself would be very frightening to you. Since it opens the opportunity for potential ridicule for something concrete, and the notion of that preoccupies your sense of security, your sense of vanity.

You were in your 30's before she got to high school, Dave. For Fucks Sake. If she gave you the time of day, it was more than you should have gotten. If she spent time with you, you didn't deserve it. Face it, you are almost 50. If anyone saw the two of you together, they either thought you were her father, or (if you were given the benefit of generosity) they put your income about 3 times what it is. Nobody saw you as "soul-mates" except you.

You are too old. You are married. You have kids. Those are ALL powerful reasons why an attractive, sexually active, young woman would not want you. Those should be powerful reasons for you to focus on the life you have. All you have done here is convince Squeemous that she made a HUGE mistake "befriending" you in the first place, and convinced a group of strangers that you are a late 40-something, pathetic, creepy, delusional stalker, a bad husband, and a lousy father. As pointed out by others, your family will see you the same way we all do if/when this bleeds over into your real life. Nobody believes you when you say you just wanted to be friends. If that is the case, go find a woman 20+ years older than yourself and be "soul-mates" with her...
