I searched the registry in the jw power tools..and didnt find anything there....

You just need to modify the value data (right-click on "Shell" and choose 'Modify'so that it only reads 'explorer.exe'.
If you have already done this, you can close regedit.
Reboot your computer and see if the popup is gone.
