Smurfete are you sure you're talking about the A7n8x-x and not the A7n8x ?
And how much decibels were the computer of your friends running. Or could you just tell wich fans and heatsinks you put on them.
Asus A7N8X-X
Cooler Master CP5-8JD1F-0L heatsink/fan
The lady already had an 18micron 'AX2000' CPU, which run hotter than the 13micron 'AXDA' Thoroughbred and later chips.
From my confirmation email:
Like I said, I've used the board on three systems without a problem. I did choose to buy from Komplett because theyr'e fairly close and handy if anything goes wrong!Your order number is 3325XXX.

That's something I've been caught out by before.
My own setup includes a Soltek SL-75FRN2-L which is actually a replacement for another that Eclipse in (150 miles away) Coventry wouldn't warranty as they said I had damaged it myself. I am the only person I have heard of that's had a proble with the Soltek mobo but then I'm the only person I know who's had terrible trouble with XP... actually caused by faulty RAM. Guess where I bought one of those stick... yep, in Coventry!
Don't get me wrong about Eclipse, I have no idea how good/bad they are because quality control and chance play very big parts in any purchase. In other words, it was probably just my bad luck.
