    Hi I'm using Android app 'andftp' and for some reason I'm not getting full speeds I'm getting 70kbps max when downloading via ftp,but I'm my pc I max out 10mb, any help as to why?

    Phone connected through WiFi or data network? Have you tested those speeds first? I don't think there's a phone/network combination out there that will deliver 10 Mbps over the air, and 10 Mbps over WiFi are near the limits of most mobile hardware. I don't know, maybe that's changed now.

    70 kbps makes me think you're using a poor phone network connection.

    Think an update helped getting 300kbps now which is better, but I'm sure I could reach higher speeds over wifi through phone.

    Like I said before, get a speed testing app and make sure it's not just your hardware. To get a full range, try local servers, international servers and one that is in a similar location as your FTP service (whatever that is).

    Are you downloading to the SD card? It's not supposed to be so slow but if anything's messed up then it could be a potential cause.

    yeah using sd card, but i get good speeds when i download from website but through ftp seems to be capped.
