edit2: it's currently set up like that but without the amp, like, and wurks fine.
You need to plug the stuff in and not leave gaps, like.

    Also :-
I'm using hdmi cables :earl:, like, not badly drawn arrows.

Something is lost on me, what purpose would an amp serve for a digital signal?!?

If it is working fine now then introducing the amp will not change things. A couple of questions though, what is the amp (make/model) and how far away is the 2nd TV?

edit: There is a method to my madness in asking the questions, if it is a modern amp you can use the amp to switch sources via the comfort of it's remote control and then use the splitter to switch between the two TV's, although at that point you could simply put in an HDMI repeater instead.

    edit 2: sumthink loik this:

that would be a good idea but I only want the amp and speakers on the one tv. I did stick the amp in as I planned and it's all working fine.
i'm not sure on the amp model and i'm far too whopped to check at the moment

    edit: it's a yamaha dsp-ax861se

An old axiom that I strongly believe is 'if it is working don't fix it' so sweet that it is up and running.

My suggestion was just a way of simplifying the input selection by running the inputs through the receiver/amp. The output from the amp passes both audio and video through so you can have the 5.1 hometheater throbnobulating for TV1 and have the gay little TV speakers on TV2.

I can see your point, like, but it's working and i'm happy as is.
