A warrant is needed to seize servers, yes? Such a warrant is easier to obtain when proof that the server in question hosts a tracker, where you can prove file sharing activity (a la the IP list in any bittorrent client, and tracker pings). Moreover, there's no way to "scrape" Newsgroups for activity at all after a year, which means that should I ever want to return to being an outstanding member of society, all I have to do is stop downloading copyright material for a year.

I would, except I haven't finished paying the downpayment on my current model. That, and a new release is always around the corner into the legal domain. Wouldn't want to upgrade just to find out waiting longer could have scored me something better.

Next time consider getting an Apple.They are great at first but seem to have an expiration date so you will never have to struggle with that kind of dilemma.
