looking for a how to guide on watching a movie from a Wii on a usb stick. the only guides i have found is ones that you need an SD card which i don't have. Is it possible?

Yes or no would be good. Not a wii expert in fact never used one before.
Stuck in Florida with family and had no way to connect tv to computer. I just found a Sd card and my laptop has a sd reader. I guess I am all set. Hopefully i can figure out a one of these tutorials I found online.
