I've got a RL friend who has been quite up-in-arms over all of this. Personally, my browsing habits have gotten so mild that I don't even bother to clear my browsing history anymore.

I use google, and I recently got a free phone number which saves me some money versus having a landline, or Skype.

I'll keep my eyes on news posts like this, and may modify my laisez-faire attitude in the future, but I don't see any BIG reasons for concern.

I think we would be fooling ourselves to believe any of the other search engines are any better about collecting data...

Now, I do see some REAL issues with the constant positional data collected by smartphones. That IS something to watch out for..

since this came out every times i do a google search i get a https://sorry.google.com page. Anyone know of a fix?

sounds like you rejected the terms of service, I can't see the page you're linking to, but try logging out of Google
