Thread: Traffic Analysis

is there anything software wise i can install on my computer which will tell me exactly what is happening with my internet connection?
I mean such as where data is going, what programs are using the connection, where data is coming from etc anything along those lines?
I've tried norton firewall but it just doesn't have the clarity of information i want,
any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave.
I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down.

You need a network traffic analyzer. Like ethereal but for windows. Try the retina network sniffer. It lets you see most data thats going through your network in clear text and stuff.
