  1. #1
    hi

im building a new pc and all i need to finish it is the ram and hdd
now this is my new board mobo
*the pic is slightly diff but the details r the same*
As you can see its cheap n nasty but it should do i only wanna play games and watch/encode films on this one

to make up 4 the shoddy board i also have a athlon xp 2600+ sat here waiting so my question is what ddr ram should i use with this mobo/cpu combo bcause someone said that using 2gb of ddr 333 is better than using 1gb of ddr400 and im damned if i can find out (i read the pinned topic/webpage)
so does anyone know which ram setup i should use

    thanx

your psu should be ok, aslong as your voltages are ok

My choice would be the 333MHz DDR memory.

300 watts should be enough but that's the minimum required.

i would sugest u get a the bast MB u can that one is not too good ur MB is the hart of ur system so dont skimp on it the only thing is as inportant is ur CPU

ya we need to see ur FSB speed 1st but unless u plan on doing a lot of video editing 1 GB of ram is more then enuff for regular use ( even 1GB is eniff for most video editing) and by the time comps will need more for regular use ur system will be out of date and u prob wont be able to use ether type of mem there will be some better by then

take the mony for the extra ram and get a better MB

    edit
I see u posted mhz wile i was typing so stick with 1GB of ddr 333 and get a beter MB
u could still use 400 but it would only run at 333 any way

1 GB of RAM should be plenty.

I would also recommend you look at the Barton core 2500+.
