Sorry to come to a less romantic point, but I would like to know what's the cost of life there. How much people are paid, how much an appertment or a house cost.
And do you know in which condition I could set myself up there?

I've made my mind a long tie ago upon the fact that I wont spend my life in France it's a pretty shit place to live.

SG, I didn't see that film, so I can't comment. The biggest problem with Aborigines here is "Grog", (alcohol). The government handouts to them is enough to ensure they can spend their whole lives drunk if they wish. Alcohol has decimated their society, but what to do? Many aboriginal communities have banned grog altogether, this makes life much easier for them, but just moves the problem elsewhere.

Housing in big cities is expensive, as in most places in the world. But cheap in comparison to some cities. As an example: If my daughter were to sell her 3 bed house in London, an ordinary end terrace, she would be able to buy the equivalant house in Sydney, or two houses, a boat, a four wheel drive, and money in the bank in Cairns.
