Thread: Looking for a good POS Software

  1. #1
    Hi All,

I'm interested in finding a good Point of Sales application, with inventory management support

In my search thus far I've found Cash Register Express to meet my needs however the cost is a bit high, can anyone suggest any viable alternative options?

Nope, the rules don't allow that.

I looked for the program on Warez-BB, Demonoid and RuTracker, but found nothing.

I have used this free one and it was really powerful and easy to use.

    Ohhh, point-of-sale...
I though paradox was making an obvious attempt at an oxymoron.

Actually the rules forbid event the discussing of cracks.

    Rule 10 - Cracks/Keygens/Warez

Posting of direct download links to copyrighted material such as private ftp sites, serial numbers, warez sites and torrentlinks are prohibited. Posts directly or indirectly containing this information will be edited. Sig2dat quicklinks and hashes are NOT considered to be downloadable and will be allowed. Don't ask for torrents, cracks, serials or keygens to be posted, you are asking someone else to break this rule. Hacking/Cracking discussions are not allowed.

That is awesome, but can you provide an oxymoron?

Seriously speaking, what kind of business would this serve?

Exactly. I looked around for a viable option a couple years ago for a (semi-) friend, and this one would have saved him thousands, and it does FAR more than the "custom" software he ended up using for his restaurant.

Also, I am of the opinion that it is FAR smarter for businesses to use either legit (actually paid for), or open source software. The financial penalties can be substantial, and all it takes is an angry ex-employee who finds out you're not using legit software, and contacts an aggressive company. This type of software is a PRIME target for lawsuit-inclined companies.

EDIT- and the support from other business owners using the software and the open-source site itself is invaluable.

Its intended for use in a small retail store.

I am downloading open bravo at the moment but from what I see on the Open Bravo website this application has a cost associated with it i.e. its not free..
