No one can follow me into the midnight
Into the valleys and silence of sleep
No one can watch me and wonder what ails me
No one can hear me if sometimes I weep.

into the depth and silence of sleep.
No one can understand what ails me,
and see me when I silently weep.
No one can understand the emotions,
that usually errupts in me.
No one can feel the pain in my eyes,
because its a smile that they see.
No one senses the agony in me,
Because I wear a smile.
No one can understand the heartache,
that is hidden all the while.

Thanks Neattairoski. I have come across this version before. But everyone says that the wording is not exactly what they are looking for. I personally think that this is the correct version. Their wording has probably been altered as it is passed from person to person.
