Windows Xp, Cd Reading Prob

Sorry I didn't know where to put this, so sorry if its in the wrong thread.

Ok I have a little problem with windows XP, I'm using Lamseys version btw
Everythings fine with it except one thing, it won't read any of my old cd-r's that I had burned when I was running windows 98! it reads audio, game, even dvd discs but not cd-r's, anybody else have this problem? anyway to fix it?!

installing nero or easy cd should sort it for ya
