Thread: NGR Blog - Highwind driven? Any independent Usenet Review site?

  1. #1
I used to read NGR Blog, and thought it was independent.
I realised I was wrong, IT WAS VERY HIGHWIND DRIVEN AND COMMERCIAL.

http://www.ngrblog.com/summer-usenet-deals/ (all highwind stuff, not interesting)

Any idea of good usenet review site?

Most of these sites seem to make money from referrals so lack impartiality.

When you can't find impartial reviews, a mix of impressions with disclosed partiality on the different services are a suitable replacement. Speaking of which, there's a lot of information in the very threads here on FST if you care to read through them.

Spend 10min googling and you'll find out what you need to know. Never trust or put too much weight into reviews. Anyway, I'd avoid Highwinds as a primary provider.

That "blog" if you can even call it that is a joke. Total highwinds promoting. If they were really in it to help users they would point problems with the services they pimp. Why don't they talk about highwinds throttling or cancelling users for using to much? Completion problems due to dmca? They will promote only the ones that pay them enough.

Folks we have another biased hater who likes to get a little ahead of himself. Newshosting, UsenetServer and Easynews do not throttle and never have. Highwinds does not own resellers so there are some resellers who do, but the tier one providers do not.

    Just to be politically correct
