I am comparing and trying to figure this out since I get the same error I think it is a direct x problem but I don't know yet.

heres wat i did...after i downloaded and installed the thing...it said like put in the correct cd and some error thing....to fix this....i changed the name of Speed.exe in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Need For Speed Underground to Speed(2).exe...and then i copied the Speed.exe or the hack thing from the CD1 to the same file...if its confusing...look at it this way...i replaced the Speed.exe installed with NFS with the Speed.exe from the CD1....i dunno if this will help cuz im not sure i understand your problem, but it worked for me..good luck

still doesnt work..i renamed it and pasted the crack and ran the crack but it still dunt work

ok im pretty sure its not the video card cuz i used 3d anyalize program and changed the vendor id to a higher video card the game would still not work
