really 20.3Mb (not MB).... I rack up 80Mbps so I must be super special. Even if it was 20MB fairly sure you are full of it since the have gig networks out there for Idol.

So where does that leave getting 950Mbps

You are in Idols exchange I can only assume and at that speed I guess you need to download to SSD. Funny when your download is faster than the SATA i/f but that isn`t going to be an issue in the UK for some time.....

No, Idol is in my exchange (lets see if saying that is going to bite me in the ass!!) Kidding aside, my Usenet maxes out around 300-400Mbps, but the reason the speeds are good is when you have so many internet users in the house, you don't really get any slowdowns. And it is strange that i looked up the average speeds in the UK, and they are really behind?? Why makes zero sense, and sucks at the same time
I forgot to mention it to MacGyver, i actually did switch from a 7200rpm HD to a Samsung SSD, and holy shit did it make a huge difference!!!. Now multitasking it never bogs when i am downloading and doing many other things at the same time, and the startup is way faster.. If you read this post MacGyver, thanks for the suggestion buddy it worked great!!

PS. I should say that if you do run an AMD CPU Samsung SSD's may not be the friendliest when it comes to there running software, but it doesn't affect the speeds and stuff, they do recommend Crucial SSD's, but i couldn't pass up the price for the Samsung
    Thanks again....

any reason samsung SSD over others? Just due to the rapid decline in Bitcoin farming there is a glut of memory and cards, so SSD are coming down and may be worth thr upgrade after christmas

I don't buy, sell or do anything with Bitcoin, just not my thing. The SSD was on sale, under $100 (Canadian) and it was 500gigs. Most of the others were over that, and did some research and they say the samsug's are rated on the top of the food chain, for reliability and quality. And yes they have come down big time, and Canada has joined the band wagon on the US Black Friday (American Thanksgiving) sales, and they are actually better in most cases than boxing day or Christmas sales, or they just put the same sales on again..

I am not sure where you live nQQ?? So no disrespect if you already knew this

And when i did some more reading on the SSD's , Samsung favors Intel's CPU's, and Crucial is more friendly with both AMD and Intel, and it actually doesn't really have to do with the drive, but with SSD's it comes with software to control it if you want, and that has some bugs in it, and Samsung is not rushing to fix it. But really you don't need the software and the sites said you can uninstall it without affecting the performance. Plus for the price the Samsung's specs were better, for the equivalent one Crucial's sells, it was higher...
And not sure if you understand why the prices are better for Black Friday?? The retailers try to get rid of there innovatory, reason they get rebates back from manufacturers on volume sales, plus to make room for the new products coming in, and me personally i don't need the latest and greatest anymore. I used to be like that, but now i don't care, as long as it suits my purpose and will last i am good ..

What i am watching as well is everyone here seems to talk about PS4's and Xbox's, but i am reading about the sales of the new Nintendo Switch, and wow!!! they are selling a ton of them!!!!!.....

Edit: I should add that i purchased a new TV just before Black Friday, i didn't want to get stuck in lines or they maybe sold out of it, the salesmen knew it was going on sale, he just didn't know how much?? and it went down a bit from the deal i got, so i went back and they priced matched the sale, now that same TV has gone back up again and others they are trying to get rid of (older models), are on sale. But i guarantee on Boxing day here if they still have inventory, it will go back to the price i paid...

And i apologize to everyone that i went off topic in the forum post.........

SATA-I is already 1500 Mbps, even accounting for 8b/10b encoding there is still plenty of headroom

Okay, I'll return to the topic now. The fastest speed is 10 Mbps because that's what I have

Good to hear. From my own experience I assumed an SSD would do the trick. HDDs have been the biggest bottleneck for computers for many years now.

No joke!!, it is like day and night!!, I am now thinking i have an old laptop and my mock pc server(to run operating system and server program (UMS)), and i may buy SSD's for them. I can get away with 120gig ones as well, laptop just use it for the internet. But i am not sure if it will do much on the server being he rest of the drives are just 7200 speeds?? But if it does help the transfer/encoding speeds, it would be a bonus...
Again much appreciate the suggestion/help buddy, worked out great
