Still should of tried a HC2. Try it, don`t like it then sell it for almost cost anyway on EBayrip

The 120GB (128GB) SSDs will be slower than the 250GB (256GB) and larger drives. It uses half the channels because of smaller storage size and cuts the speed down. Still better than HDD.

No offense Anon, but i remember that speed 15 years ago. Can you not get faster speeds where you live??

Now i also learned that if you have things that max out at 100Mbps run them on standard 2.4 GHz (will only go to that speed), and everything over use 5GHz, and that is if you are forced to use WiFi, if not, use Ethernet wired connection if you can!!!

Even know it shows the same specs for read and write?? I am pretty sure the Samsung's specs don't change?? Just the storage size??

I could always go to 250gig, not that much difference in price now, if you think it will be better?? Just over-kill for my vintage Del laptop

And you`ll never really be able to tell. I have a 256 boot, 1Tb VM image drive (work stuff) and 111Gb games drive (I guess that is 120Gb) Stick the download crap on a external box and really you`ll not care about speeds since you just kick `em off, dl and see without having to manage, my odroid only has 750Gb on a HDD.

Also have a 3 and 4 TB drives for other stuff.... one is hybrid

The 120GB (128GB) SATA SSDs are always (AFAIK) slower than the 250GB+ drives. Most SSD makers have stopped making 120GB (128GB) drives, except for the low end.

For reasons why?? I have no idea, but seems you would be right MacGyver
If you do look around, the new 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive's, don't offer 120GB size, they do start at 205GB plus, and if you look at the pricing, the difference from a 250-500GB is not that much difference as well....

Yeah, I guess it doesn't make financial sense to make 120GB (128GB) drives. They only use half the NAND channels (4 vs. 8) compared to larger drives. I think with the densities of the NAND getting larger 250GB (256GB) is the smallest size that makes sense now. I remember when 32GB and 64GB SSDs first came out. Probably only a matter of time when 250GB (256GB) drives will disappear.

You may be right on the 250Gig drives MacGyver, considering my 500Gig drive only shows 465GB
I can say i don't remember about about the small SSD'a because i didn't need them or better yet may have been out of my snack bracket ..
I can say i remember and had many USB keys that were under a Gig, now the norm to get it at least 64Gigs. Fuck i am old LOL!!!..

Well I tried a 8GB compact flash to SATA card for a while until it was obvious it was shit and totally unstable. I`m just as old

Should we now delve into Boolean logic with NAND gates and such. Must say in my past digi electronics was my preference.... analog is infinitely more difficult in my mind although yeah I can do that as well.

What do you have that needed a 8Gb flash card?? To max out your flip phone

The other stuff, give me a few minutes to go into the Google archives to figure out what the heck you are talking about
