Thread: Who Is the best Usenet Provider?

  1. #11
There is a new South African Usenet provider that gets its news from various servers in various countries. If it's not on one server, it hunts for the missing articles on another server. Speed is not their strong suit. It's not bad for a new company. They have a limited free trial. Has anybody else tried these guys?

they look just like another scam using other usenet providers secretly to run there service. once they catch on they will disable there access and you will be out the money and service. i feel like there is one of these type of services every year that pops up. what was that eu based one last year that everyone just loved cause it only cost like 3 bucks a month?

I like tweaknews ive been using it for a while now and its fvcking awesome but I got my 20mb/s installed today and tweaknews is maxing out at 15mb/s. Im using free trial. I want a server that hits 20MB/s solidly, does that even exist? Im willing to pay more too I don't care , as long as it hits 20MB/s all the time.

other than the speed issue, I highly recommend tweak for lower speeds.

It's possible that the free trial has a lower maximum speed than the paid subscription at Tweaknews--did you check?

ynotrhyme: the consensus here seems to be that you need a couple of Usenet services for good service (too many gaps with just one service). So if you get another service and are downloading from both at the same time it should max out your downloading potential.

The trial is unlimited speed. Unless you live in Holland, you will not be maxing out a 100Mb connection on a consistent basis. The speeds are not great but it's not awful either. It works well as a backup block account.

Trial accounts don't offer enough connections. My 25mb connection is consistently maxed out with tweak.

gibinews. I used them as a filler account until they kept raising their price and eventually shut down the service.

Using XSNews and XLNed, stil the best for me, also what concerns DMCA problems

I have had very minimal DMCA issues (odd 1 or 2 sometimes old posts so revert to a torrent), normally my SABNZBD pulls the NZB file within 15 minutes of posting. Also have DogNZB access so could setup the watch list for instant pushing once detected.

    · ISP's Usenet (Which Is Basically A Link To Astra)
    · Hitnews (Free) Auto Updating Script
    · XSUseNet (Free)
    · BlockNews (Block Account US / EU)
    · Also Had The 3x IP's For Just4Today (Haven't Worked In A Long Time)
