Okay so am I missing something here? I seem to be wasting a lot of bandwith on these files. What is the deal?

If your client isn't doing it for you, run .par2 file included with the set.

No I know... I did that and it returns a "File missing / misnamed"

QuickPar/Multipar should give you the option to rename/repair the set? Is it telling you you're short recovery blocks? Alt.binz handles everything for the most part, it's been a while since I've had to repair manually.

Quickpar/Multipar do not always recognize those, sometimes you have to rename the files manually (or use a program that will do it, I'm pretty sure those exist).

Multipar is the most updated/maintained software of the two and handles truncated filenames better, at least in my experience.
