What i was saying was there is another way to activate windows, a much easier way, which is by phoning.

The corporate version is not totally service pack proof if too many people use the same key microsoft can know that the software your using is probably downloaded each time you go to get updates. The fact at the moment you can download a keygen that gives you unique keys doesnt mean microsoft wont develop more sophistacated ways to fight this kind of piracy.

The method i used to install XP on both of my machines is the only sure way to combat their measures, because they know people upgrade their computers, so the installation codes change each time. Microsoft cant tell u not to upgrade your system can they.

If you have a corporate version of windows xp with a unique key, then you dont need to activate, so your ok. The method i was suggesting is an alternative for people who have oem versions of XP.

Those dumb enough to take my good advice the wrong way will lose out, i'm just increasing your knowledge of how the activation system works.

In any case how can you be sure the copy you are downloading doesnt have trojans, stealing your valuable data as you browse the net.

When u download from kazaa don't be fooled into thinking its anonymous, your IP address can be seem if they know how to use the more advanced functions. So, your downloads can be monitored by microsoft spies keeping a record of your download.

From your IP address they can find out where you live by contacting your ISP.


I dont want to worry anyone, but those of you who arent retarded should know the risks involved.

If you have a friend who has an OEM version you should consider my method. But its even better if you can obtain an Corp version with a keygen from someone else rather then you downloading yourself.

That is, if you have a fast internet connection. Don't forget that a hell of a lot of people are still using dial up, in which case they might not be able to download the corporate version. Then, the "shitty crack" posted by bogaa might well come in very handy.

Aside from that, i really wouldn't advise phoning Microsoft to activate.
