    ctrl-alt-delete

go to processes, see which process is draining your comp. and take it from there.

hope this is of some help

I have got the samen problem as you, I thought it was because of Windows update's (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=77783&hl=)

When I do alt-ctrl-del, I don't see annything different, no program that drains my CPU.....

winning answer on the spyware -

my users always bring in their home pc's with slowness issues, weird things happening - first thing i do is install spybot and it almost always fixes the immediate problem.
