Thread: Monitors go in to sleep mode when iPhone/ iPad connected!

This is a really strange one and I've searched high and low for a solution to no avail...

I have 4 Apple USB cables connected to my PC (2 x 30 pin, and 2 of the newer style on iPhone 5)

Randomly whenever I connect or disconnect a device all three of my monitors go to sleep, as if the power saving thinks there's been no activity for 30 mins, a quick wobble of the mouse brings them back to life..but I cant figure out for the life of me why!

The three monitors are spread over 2 GPU's (1 on board, 2 on a Nvida 560)

Other USB devices, cameras, scanners etc never cause this issue.

I've tried connecting them to the USB2 ports and USB3 ports - same result. It happens about 10% of the time, but once it has done it all subsequent connections / disconnections result in the same screen blanking.

There was USB monitoring software (from the mobo drivers) running, but I have disabled this.

    Anyone ever experienced anything similar?
