I'm overwhelmed by the volume of actual assistance provided in this thread. Bravo.

It's probably because I was absent.
Just like the NSA, I'm compelled to copy everything I want to.

    149188-0.0.2

I have 613 files named in this way. When I run the par2 files they say all files are missing except for about 5 of them which it does rename. Is there a method of repairing/renaming/fixing this that I need to know about?

    thanks

The fix isn't the greatest b/c it's going to take some time, but it works.

After everything is download, you will have to use quickpar for renaming.

You'll see a lot of *.par2.* files. ex. 142644-0.par2.1, 142644-0.par2.2, ... They should be 10KB or less in size.

Run the first *.par2 and within quickpar click the "rename" button, than delete that par2 file.

Now move to *.par2.1 change the name to *.par2 (so remove the (dot)1 in the file for this example) and open it up with quickpar, do the "rename" option again.

Just continue doing this, until you have all of the release. It works, just takes some time.
You don't need to do all that...this is All you need to do when you have Quickpar saying blocks missing just press the add button and add all the files again it should sort it out.

Very helpful thread, unfortunately my 'version' of quickpar does not have a 'rename' option??????? or 'repair' for that matter so par files have never worked for me?????

Just grab Multipar http://multipar.eu/ and try that from now on.
