There have been so many good movies over time, I find it hard to pick a favorite. I guess the one that probably got my attention the most, because of the sound and visuals that were ahead of its time, was 2001 A Space Odyssey. I think you have to have seen it when it first came out, in one of the few theatres equipped to handle its sound a visuals, to really appreciate this movie. Yes, any of you who pipe in that 2010 was a better movie, yes it was probably a more entertaining movie. But very much like dozens before and after in that genre. 2001 broke ground.

I saw the original Star Wars (episode 4, a New Hope) at the cinema when it was released, and many times since. Based on number of viewings, I guess this is probably my favourite.
