No I don't all of the cold water is fed from the mains.
1. I have been in my loft many times and would notice it
2. I worked in the building trade for years and know what they are
3. If the kids put on the hydrants I don't get any water pressure, upstairs or down. Including the cisterns.

No i don't - hot water mixed with cold is'nt safe to drink. Too mny germs to worry about - mind you, in the summer when i have a cold shower, i have been known to brush my teeth with it -

Where does the water come from that tops up the radiators and the hot water tank, if you have one. I have never seen radiators or a hot water tank, directly supplied from the mains. If so how is it done?
It might be a new type of pressure reducing valve. But as I say I have not come across one yet.
